Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will the battery last a full shift?

A: Yes, the battery life in standby mode is over 14 hours.

Q: How well does the camera see in low-light?

A: We were the first manufacturer to develop a true low-light capable body-worn camera. Our patented Accuview™ low-light technology creates evidence that closely mimics what the human eye captures.

Q: Why is 92 degrees the optimum field of view for body cameras?

A: A wider field of view suffers from the ‘fish-eye’ effect and distorts the footage. A narrower field of view can miss critical evidence.

Q: What are my storage options?

A: Our VidVault™ evidence management software solution allows customization storage options with the cloud, local servers, or a hybrid of both.

Q: Why do I need evidence management software with my body camera?

A: Evidence management software is critical for video and photo evidence. VidVault™ allows you to track customized information, retain chain of custody, and provides an audit trail for all footage.

Q: Why not HD?

A: Evidence captured with HD videos cost more to store due to their large file size and HD video cameras perform poorly in low light conditions (night, buildings, etc).

Q: What are my mounting options?

A: Chest-mounted cameras are more rugged and reliable than head-mounted cameras. Our chest-mounted cameras are designed to withstand the toughest working conditions law enforcement officers face every day.

Q: What is your standard warranty period and what does it cover?

A: We offer a 12-month warranty for hardware and software, as well as the option to purchase extended warranty.

Q: Does your solution require any additional licensing fee?

A: All updates within the first year are free.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Proudly serving the law enforcement community for 20 years.

Q: How can I test your body-worn cameras?

A: We offer 2 week demos available upon request.
